On Monday night, George
Floyd was murdered. His lynching
was witnessed by lots

of folks yelling for
the police brutality
to stop. But the white

police officer,
who chose to take a knee to
commit a senseless

murder, did what far
too many white men have done,
before. He used the

power of his white
skin, the power of the law
and the power of

his uniform to
kill in cold blood. For days I’ve
looked for the words to

share my thoughts, horrors
and disgust. For 400
years our nation has

grown on the backs of
black slaves. ‘But slavery was
abolished in the

1860s,’ you
