The Soul of the Nation

With the turn of a

calendar page, it is March.

New beginnings. New

hopes. Listening to

Joe Biden last night, filled me

with optimism —

with the feeling that

all is not lost. Words matter.

People matter. The

tapestry that is

the United States matters.

The Constitution

matters. Joe Biden

is an older white man. By

description, that’s not

what I hoped our next

leader would be. However,

there is so much more

to Joe. He is a

uniter, a listener

and has a moral

compass. Working with

world leaders is a key strength.

Oh, do we need that!!

Worried about health

care? He wants to shore up the

ACA and then

improve upon it.

Climate change? He knows it’s real.

State Department? He

will restore it. What

about the joke our country

has become throughout
