Not sure who this will
help, but I have come to a
realization

that I need a break
from the news on tv and
radio. Over

the past few days, I’ve
noticed that I’d start to get
a headache, when I’d

gone beyond what I
could take. Then, if I didn’t
shut off the noise, my

stomach would start to
hurt. Monday I went too far.
Had to take Advil

and go to bed. Then,
Tuesday, I got smarter — turned
off the news and switched

to spa music just
a few minutes into the
headache. This morning,

just 30 minutes
in, listening to our Reps
in Congress speak out

about impeachment,
the headache came on and off
went my radio.

For the next few days,
I’ll only consume the news
in print media.

Calm music, playing
consistently and lots of
hydration, brings me

to a much better
place. Is this best for all? No.
But it works for me
