In the Time of Trump
When you are feeling
overwhelmed, please follow my
lead and take a step
back. We must preserve
our sanity, energy
and passion. Sometimes,
to do less is to
do more. One important thing
I have learned, through my
activism, is
that each of us vary in
our capacities
to do — based on skills,
time, life experiences,
energy levels….
Feeling guilty when
you can’t do it all does not
serve you well. Each one
of us must find our
own balance. Spinning out of
control does severe
damage. I have my
own personal examples
and have seen what it
does to others. Please
know that taking care of your
needs is not selfish!
We must do our part
to make the world better but
that’s unique to each
of us. You be you.
Just as I was when I was
in the classroom, I’m
here with a hug, an
ear or time to chat. “Do what
you feel in your heart
to be right — for you’ll
be criticized anyway.”
Listen to your heart!!
