Checks and Balances?

He’s a shyster. If

you support him you either

have been taken in

by the bullshit or

maybe, you too, are corrupt.

Power? Money? Is

that what’s important?

I really just don’t get it.

What about morals?

I know how I was

raised. I know how I have lived

my life. I am not

afraid to look in

the mirror. Are you? Since this

‘mob boss’ was voted

in, I’ve shared concerns

about losing what’s left of

our democratic-

republic. I did

not think, for a minute, that

it would unravel

so quickly. Some have

said that the system of checks

and balances would

save us. We now have

proof that it won’t. I’ve been teased,

throughout my adult

life, that I look through

rose-colored glasses and see

the positive when

others don’t. I’m still

trying, but my glasses are
